Hi Thea-

I think vlogging can be done in NYC elementary schools because we have a lot of motivated professionals who want to see the children succeed and move to the next level Forseeable problems would be funding, acquiring the necessary equipment, training, and maintaining the equipment. I hope we can overcome these obstacles!

Hey Thea-

"Ask and you shall receive!"

Thanks for posting the links about vlogging in education and specifically in some of the articles - elementary school.

It is becoming apparent that vlogging is a creative way to teach students about pretty much anything. Not only that, but anything visual typically grabs the attention of students so that this almost seems like a natural path to take in education. In addition, it also seems as though teachers are getting into the idea of vlogging just as much as students are.

Hi ladies,

I absolutely agree with you both that this can be done in our schools and on the elementary level. I would really like to try doing this at my school with the kids. The reason why I ended up getting my undergraduate degree in film was because it was fun! Plain and simple. I think becuase of this it would appeal to our kids. Also, technology has enabled our desire for instant gratification to be fulfilled, eg. digital photography. I think vlogging also provides this instant gratification. I think kids would be so excited to know that what they've created could be put on a vlogging page or even utube and be published and shared with an infinite amount of people!
