It seems only natural to explore vlogging in the educational setting. I think that it's an interesting format for kids to create. Have you come across anything about NYC school entering into the world of vlogging?
I was debating whether or not elementary school age kids could do this. The computer teacher at my school recently set up a blogging site, off of the main school website, and he encourages students to become familiar with blogging. I should bring this up with him. I wonder if having the proper tools/technology becomes and issue.

vlogging sounds like an activity that kids would love-combining music with video and collaborating with their peers! I know that my school is not outfitted with the technology needed for this at this time, but I have begun to survey teachers inquiring what they know about the various topics we're discussing. So far no one has heard of vlogging. Thank you for exposing me to it.

Hi Beatrice,
You actually need less technology than you would think. Do you have access to a digital camera. You can actually take short video clips using digital camera. The amount of footage /lentgh of the video clips on how large the memory card is. This is not as sophisticated as using a video camera and the quality and resolution on the clips will not be as good, but for children who are not concerned with these issues, I think it would work fine.
